Man shocked as his Eldoret-based friend kills his wife hours after their WhatsApp conversation - Shares their last messages

Friday, August 14, 2026 - A man has taken to social media to mourn his close friend, Bob Kosgei alias Boaz, who reportedly killed his wife in a shocking incident in Eldoret.

The friend shared a screenshot of his last WhatsApp conversation with Boaz, revealing that he appeared to be fine just hours before the tragic incident.

According to the conversation, the two friends were planning to meet for drinks on Thursday.

Boaz told his friend to give him about two hours so that he could confirm whether he would be available.

Sadly, that would turn out to be their final conversation.

The friend said there was nothing unusual in their exchange to suggest that Boaz was going through a difficult moment.

Boaz, who was based in Eldoret, is believed to have been silently battling depression amid reported domestic problems.

The final WhatsApp conversation has since been widely shared on social media as people react to the heartbreaking turn of events.
