Thursday, August 6, 2026 - Afrikana Photo Studios management is appealing to members of the public to help identify a woman who was captured on CCTV stealing a Sony FX3 video camera and its accessories from their studio in Kayole.
According
to the studio's management, the incident occurred at their branch located at B
Centre, Shell Petrol Station, on the first floor.
The
suspect is said to have cleverly tricked the staff member on duty by
claiming that she had heavy luggage downstairs and needed assistance.
Unaware
of her intentions, the employee reportedly left the studio to help
her.
It
was during that brief window that the woman grabbed the camera equipment and
fled from the premises.
CCTV
cameras captured the incident, and the footage is now being circulated as part
of efforts to identify and trace the suspect.
The
matter has since been reported to the police, with DCI officers launching
investigations into the theft.
Anyone
with information regarding the woman's identity has been urged to contact the
authorities.
