Governor ANYANG’ NYONG’O’s lesbian daughter, ZAWADI, gushes over her wife on their 4th wedding anniversary – “My ride or die”

Sunday, August 09, 2026 - Zawadi Nyong’o, daughter of Kisumu Governor Professor Anyang’ Nyong’o and sister to Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o, has marked her fourth wedding anniversary with a heartfelt tribute to her wife.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, August 8, 2026, she wrote:

“8/8/26 Happy 4 Year Anniversary Habibi! ❤️ I love you so much.

“Thank you for being my wife – my ride or die, my bob, my best friend,” Zawadi wrote, gushing over her partner.

She went on to thank her wife for standing firm through life’s storms and for believing in their relationship even in difficult times.

“Thank you for standing still in the storm and for believing in me and us through it all.

“I’m so lucky to walk through life with you.”

“I see you. I appreciate you. I love you.”

The anniversary comes as Zawadi increasingly shares glimpses of her family life online.

In October 2025, she publicly spoke about her LGBTQ+ identity, introducing her partner and child, a move that drew widespread attention in Kenya and beyond.
