2026 - Residents of Bombolulu are living in fear over a gang that has been
wreaking havoc in the area while armed with crude weapons.
One of the gang members has been identified as Sadik,
described by locals as a well-known repeat offender.
He was reportedly released from Shimo La Tewa Prison a few
days ago.
According to reports from residents, Sadik has been accused
of attacking pedestrians along bypasses even during daytime, raising fear among
members of the public.
He was captured on CCTV attacking a woman alongside other
gang members before snatching her phone.
In a separate incident at the same location, a sick woman
was reportedly attacked at night by Sadik and his gang while heading to a
chemist to buy medicine.
Residents further allege that suspects are arrested but
released shortly after, leaving them exposed.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has been urged by locals to intervene and address the rising cases of attacks.
