Tuesday, March 24, 2026 - Police in Kangundo Central have arrested a man suspected of killing his estranged wife in what investigators believe may have been a premeditated act.
The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, March 22nd,
2026, at the suspect’s residence, where the victim had gone to visit their
children.
According to preliminary reports, the couple had separated
prior to the incident, and the children were under the care of the suspect at
the time.
Authorities suspect that the invitation extended to the
woman to see her children may have been part of a calculated plan to lure her
to the residence.
It is alleged that upon arrival, she was assaulted and
fatally injured.
Police have since taken the suspect into custody and
launched investigations to establish the full circumstances surrounding the
incident, including the motive and sequence of events leading to the woman’s
death.
The body of the deceased was moved to a local mortuary, where a postmortem examination is expected to be conducted.
