Monday, February 02, 2026 - Comedian turned philanthropist, Eric Omondi, has announced an extraordinary plan to walk from Nairobi to Mombasa, arriving in the coastal city on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2026.
The daring journey, dubbed the “Walk of Love,” will see Omondi trek 486 kilometers in just four days, braving unpredictable weather and physical exhaustion.
He will set off from Nyayo National Stadium on February 10th and conclude at Mama Ngina Waterfront Park on February 14th.
In a video shared on his social media platforms, Omondi explained: “On February 10, 2026, I will be walking from Nairobi’s Nyayo Stadium to Mama Ngina.”
“I will be covering a distance of 486 kilometres. And remember this is a walk of love because we are doing this during Valentine’s.”
The initiative is designed to raise funds for the
construction of the Sisi Kwa Sisi Help and Rescue Centre, a facility
that will feature a warehouse, two ambulances, a clinic and a free secondary
school.
“I am walking to raise funds to build The Sisi Kwa Sisi Help and
Rescue Centre.”
“You can walk with me by sending whatever you can,” he
appealed.
Omondi revealed that the centre has already handled 208 cases in two years, with more pending, underscoring the urgent need for expanded support.
