Saturday, September 6, 2025 - Social media has erupted after a video surfaced showing Homa Bay Town MP, Peter Kaluma, being casually ordered around by President Ruto’s close aide, Farouk Kibet.
In the clip, Farouk is heard instructing Kaluma, “Sema
kwa kijaluo waskie,” as the legislator stands sheepishly.
The incident has triggered heated reactions online, with
critics mocking Kaluma for appearing submissive, while others see it as yet
another display of Farouk’s growing influence within the Kenya Kwanza power
circle.
Kenyans flooded X (formerly Twitter) with memes and
comments, many ridiculing the lawmaker for “being reduced to a small boy” in
front of cameras.
