- Popular Kamba gospel singer, Zipporah Mwaniki, is trending online after
reports emerged that she dumped her struggling husband after rising to fame and
financial success.
The singer’s husband, identified as Eric and described by
many as a “fundi wa mjengo,” is said to have played a major role in supporting
her music career from the beginning.
Eric sacrificed his little income to help her record songs
and shoot music videos at a time when she was still unknown in the gospel
industry.
The couple reportedly lived together peacefully for years
under the ministry brand name “Zipporah Eric Ministry” before things changed
after the singer gained popularity and financial stability.
She has since dropped her husband’s name and settled with a
wealthy Arab man abroad.
She posted a farewell message to her fans and announced that
she had left the country to settle with her new man.
“Kwaheri Kenya. Love has no boundaries. It was good serving in Kenya. Thank you my people,” she wrote and posted a photo alongside her new man.
