Kenyans roast ICT CS WILLIAM KABOGO over his 'oversized suits' in New York during the UNGA summit (PHOTOs)

Wednesday, September 24, 2025 - ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo has become the unexpected center of online fashion critique after photos of his outfits during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York went viral.

Known for his bold and unconventional style, Kabogo’s wardrobe choices sparked a flurry of reactions from Kenyans on social media.

In one widely circulated image, Kabogo is seen wearing a checked blazer over a plain shirt and tie, paired with navy trousers and brown leather shoes featuring brightly colored soles.

Standing next to Nigeria’s ICT Minister Dr. Bosun Tijani, who wore a sharply tailored navy suit, Kabogo’s ensemble drew mixed reviews, with many pointing out the ill-fitting nature of his suit.

Another photo of Kabogo with Denmark’s Consul General Helle Meinertz reignited the debate, with users on X (formerly Twitter) calling for him to hire a professional stylist.

One user wrote, “Mhe Waziri, uko na pesa. Get an image consultant and accept his advice. Unachoma Babah.”

While some defended Kabogo’s expressive fashion sense, others argued that public figures representing Kenya on global platforms should embrace polished, well-fitted attire.
