End of the road for a notorious drug trafficker who poses as a khat transporter in Tigoni as police arrest him - Recover 800 rolls of bhang (PHOTOs)



Wednesday, August 13, 2025 - Police in Tigoni, Kiambu County, have arrested a suspected drug trafficker following an intelligence-led operation in the Karambaini Tea Zone, Kiambaa Sub-County.

The suspect, who was riding a TVS Star motorcycle (registration number KMCY 735B) and posing as a khat transporter, was intercepted and found in possession of 800 rolls of cannabis concealed in a woven bag.

Officers also recovered KSh 3,795 in cash, believed to be proceeds from the illegal trade.

Both the suspect and the recovered exhibits are being held at Tigoni Police Station and are expected to be arraigned in court.

The National Police Service has reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying crackdowns on narcotics, illicit brews, and second-generation liquor, warning that traffickers will face the full force of the law.

Authorities have urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement by providing timely information that can help dismantle drug distribution networks in the country.
