Man cries out after his car was stolen from a parking lot near Nyayo Stadium while watching the Kenya vs Gabon match - DETAILS!

Monday, March 24, 2025 - The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched an investigation into a car theft incident that occurred on Sunday during the Kenya vs. Gabon World Cup qualifier at Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi.

In a statement on Monday, the DCI reported that the victim parked his silver Toyota IST, registration number KBN 093B, along Kisauni Road, near Nairobi West Hospital, before heading to the stadium.

"The car owner indicated that he parked his Toyota IST at the said spot at 3:40 PM and proceeded to the fan-packed stadium," the report read in part.

However, when he returned at 7:00 PM, the vehicle was missing, prompting him to file a report at Akila Police Station in Lang’ata.

Detectives have since launched investigations to track down the stolen vehicle.

Meanwhile, police in Juja are also probing the theft of a white Toyota Axio from a residential home in Matangi near Rurii Primary School, Kimbo.

"The owner had left it parked outside the residence on Saturday night, but on waking up, found it gone," the DCI stated.

Efforts to recover both vehicles are ongoing.
