Monday, October 12, 2026 - Mourners were treated to a dramatic incident after Kilifi Woman Representative Getrude Mbeyu engaged in a physical altercation with Matsangoni Ward MCA Hassan Mohamed during a burial ceremony.
The fight erupted after the two
leaders exchanged harsh words as local politics took centre stage during the
burial ceremony.
In the ensuing drama, the MCA
charged towards Mbeyu, prompting the Woman Representative to fight back and
triggering a brief scuffle that left mourners stunned.
The situation threatened to disrupt the burial ceremony before Mbeyu’s bodyguards quickly intervened and restored order.
