Friday, September 18, 2026 - Dennis Itumbi’s girlfriend and Kamba actress Tina Clara has been put on the spot following allegations surrounding the recruitment of approximately 100 ladies who were reportedly promised jobs at the Kamba Festival at KICC.
According to reports, the ladies were mobilised through a
WhatsApp group and informed that they would work as ushers and drinks
attendants from around 4:00 PM until 6:00 AM, earning KSh 3,000 each.
They were reportedly assigned different dress codes
depending on whether they would work in the Regular, VIP, or Executive sections,
with some spending their own money to purchase the required outfits.
However, the ladies claim that after submitting their real
names, ID numbers, and photographs during the recruitment process, they were
informed that the entire arrangement had been cancelled.
They are now demanding answers on why their personal details
were collected, who has access to the information and what will happen to it
following the cancellation of the alleged jobs.
The report has also raised questions about whether the
collection of the personal details could be connected to activities beyond the
promised festival jobs.
Some of the allegations have gone further, with questions being raised about whether the information could be used for political purposes, including election-related activities, given Tina Clara’s reported romantic relationship with Dennis Itumbi, a key government operative.
