President RUTO advises CNN journalist and senior bachelor LARRY MADOWO to get married and have kids during his daughter’s wedding ceremony (VIDEO)

Sunday, August 9, 2026 - There was a lighthearted moment during President William Ruto’s daughter’s wedding ceremony at his Kilgoris farm, when he playfully advised CNN journalist Larry Madowo and other young people to get married.

Ruto specifically addressed Larry Madowo, who was among the guests invited to the ceremony.

“It’s good to be single. It’s better to be married. And it’s best to have children,” Ruto said as guests burst into laughter.

Ruto has always advocated for young people to get married and have children, using wedding ceremonies and other social functions to deliver the message.
