Hotel worker alleges Linda Mwananchi politicians are addicted to alcohol and secret hotel meet-ups - Westlands MP aspirant ALEX MATERE booked a room with VERACIOUS NAMAYAN, Narok County Women Rep Aspirant (PHOTOs)

Monday, August 3, 2026 - A hotel worker has claimed that politicians in the Linda Mwananchi group, led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, have been overindulging in alcohol and engaging in private escapades.

Reaching out to blogger Edgar Obare through his Ongea platform, the hotel staff member alleged that Westlands MP Aspirant Alex Matere and Veracious Namayan, a fellow politician in the Linda Mwananchi group, recently booked a room at the hotel to spend time together.

“Linda Mwananchi politicians need to be careful. Their weak point is women and alcohol. Starting with Sifuna. Mpunguze anasa,” the hotel worker wrote.

 Further reports indicate that Alex Matere is a notorious womanizer despite being married and is fond of hitting on baddies.
