Sunday, August 9, 2026 - Seven suspected members of a criminal gang are in custody following a crackdown by police officers at Githioro Market in Nakuru County.
Acting on
intelligence indicating that suspected gang members were hiding within the
market, officers from Githioro Police Station descended on the market stalls
and caught the suspects inside one of the stalls.
The seven
were identified as Paul Maina Kariuki alias Spata, James Kinyanjui Njuguna,
Joseph Mburu Mburu alias Mbocho, Victor Kariuki Gichanga alias Kirio, David
Chege Chege, Micky Nicky Hutten and Daniel Mwaura Karanja.
