Thursday, July 23, 2026 - One of the goons allied to former Migori Governor Okoth Obado was overwhelmed by emotion after he was found guilty in the murder of Sharon Otieno.
After
the judgment, he was seen walking out of the courtroom crying uncontrollably as
he struggled to come to terms with the verdict.
Obado
was once considered politically powerful in Migori County and was accused by
critics of using goons to intimidate and attack his political opponents.
However,
his fortunes have since changed after he was convicted of Sharon Otieno's
murder.
He
is expected to remain in custody at Kamiti Maximum Security Prison as he awaits
sentencing.
