Thursday, July 23, 2026 - Police have arrested a man suspected of fatally stabbing another man in Nairobi's South B estate following a dispute reportedly linked to allegations of an affair with his wife.
The suspect, identified as Polycarp Omwoyo from Magina in
Kisii County, attacked Boniface Ombiro with a knife in the Fuata Nyayo area of
South B.
According to reports, Omwoyo fled the scene after the
incident but was later tracked down and arrested by detectives from South B
Police Station led by the Sub-County Criminal Investigations Officer (SCCIO),
CI Noor.
The suspect reportedly claimed that the deceased had been
stealing from him and that he had gone to confront him after obtaining
permission to leave work.
During the confrontation, a fight broke out, ending with
Ombiro being fatally stabbed.
Other reports circulating online have linked the incident to
suspicions that the deceased was having an affair with the suspect's wife.
The suspect remains in police custody as investigations
continue ahead of his arraignment in court.
