Monday, June 01, 2026 – Fast-rising Kenyan podcaster, Chacha Moroga popularly known as Chaxxy, has set tongues wagging after boldly admitting that he does not see himself getting married or having children.
When asked directly if fatherhood was in his plans, the Mic
Cheque Podcast host replied.
“Nah, I don’t think so.”
He explained that, at least for now, he has no reason to
become a father.
On marriage, he made it clear that he does not picture
himself taking that route either.
However, he disclosed that he was open to long‑term
partnerships.
“I think I want to have a partner for sure, but I don’t
know if I want to do the whole marriage thing,” he said.
Nevertheless, Chaxxy admitted his perspective could change
in future.
“Currently, I don’t have a reason as to why I should have
kids. Maybe that could change in a few years,” he noted.
He joked about the unpredictability of romance, warning that
the “daughters of Jezebel” can derail even the firmest plans.
Chaxxy joins a growing wave of young Africans rethinking
family structures in favour of custom relationship arrangements devoid of the
traditional rites.
