Tuesday, June 2, 2026 - Popular Kamba Benga musician, Bernard Mbatha, widely known as Kativui, was involved in a dramatic incident in Wote Town after his wife, Cynthia, confronted him in a heated public exchange that left his vehicle damaged.
According to witnesses, Cynthia accused the musician of
being spotted at a local club with another woman and of failing to meet school
fees obligations for their children.
The confrontation is said to have escalated when she
intercepted his vehicle near Ngooni Supermarket, attracting a large crowd of
onlookers who gathered to witness the unfolding drama.
Eyewitnesses reported that the situation quickly turned
chaotic as the furious woman vandalized the vehicle.
Some fans expressed sympathy for the musician, while others
urged the couple to resolve their issues privately rather than turning them
into a public spectacle.
The incident comes barely two months after Kativui was accused of viciously assaulting his wife during a domestic dispute and leaving her with visible injuries.
