2026 - A video circulating online has captured the moment members of
the public confronted rogue traffic officers who were allegedly harassing a
young motorist in Mirema.
In the clip, one of the officers had forced himself into the
young man’s car and occupied the driver’s seat as the visibly frustrated
motorist pleads with him to step out and allow him to drive away.
However, the officer refuses to leave the vehicle.
Although the officers did not disclose whether the motorist
had violated any traffic rules, the young man explained that they had been
stopped so that the police could verify whether the car had valid insurance.
According to him, they provided proof that the vehicle was
indeed insured, but the officers still allegedly refused to let them go.
The incident has sparked uproar, with many netizens
speculating that the officers may have been demanding a bribe and resorted to
frustrating the motorist after he allegedly declined to comply.
