Thursday, February 19, 2026 - CCTV footage has
captured a brazen robbery in Nairobi’s South C estate, showing two
motorbike-riding thugs snatching a phone from a man in broad daylight.
In the video, the victim is seen walking through the
residential estate while speaking on his phone, unaware of what was about to
unfold.
The suspected thieves initially drive past him before turning
around behind him.
The pillion passenger quickly grabs the phone and flees,
leaving the victim shaken and attempting to give chase in vain.
Bystanders, drawn by the victim’s screams, could only watch
helplessly as the gang vanished.
This incident comes amid rising cases of thugs using
motorbikes to snatch phones and other belongings from residents across Nairobi.
