Wednesday, February 18, 2026 - Residents of Kiamumbi
are raising the alarm over rising insecurity after CCTV footage captured
suspected burglars breaking into a house in broad daylight and stealing
household items.
According to the victim, the incident occurred on Saturday,
February 14tth, at around 3 pm.
The suspects arrived in a white Toyota Axio bearing fake
registration plates KDT 762G before breaking into the house.
“On Saturday 14th, some guys came with a white Axio with
fake plate KDT 762G and broke into my house and stole a 43-inch TV at 3pm. I
have shared the CCTV footage I have,” the victim said.
The complainant, who lives in an apartment behind Kiamumbi
Catholic Church, reported the matter at Kiamumbi Police Station.
He has since shared CCTV footage in a bid to help identify
the suspects.
The footage shows the suspects accessing the premises before
leaving with the stolen television set.
