WILLIS RABURU tracks down the suspect in his stolen Ksh 200,000 Samsung Galaxy Fold phone - “We now know him and his workplace but….”

Tuesday, October 7, 2025 - Media personality Willis Raburu has shared a fresh update on the saga surrounding his missing Samsung Galaxy Fold, a high-tech smartphone valued at over KSh 200,000.

The device, which Raburu relies on for both personal and professional use, was stolen during an event at Carnivore Grounds recently, prompting an urgent appeal across his social media platforms.

Thanks to the phone’s smart security features, images of a man handling the gadget were automatically uploaded to Raburu’s cloud account.

In a recent post, Raburu confirmed that the individual seen in the photos has been traced to Dagoretti, thanks to the combined efforts of social media sleuths, the DCI and police.

However, the phone recovered from the suspect was not his.

“He was pressed and handed over this phone - NOT OURS!” Raburu wrote.

Still, he managed to help return that device to its rightful owner using emergency contacts.

Raburu now knows the suspect’s name, nickname, workplace, and has even spoken to the father, who offered support.

While his own phone remains missing, Raburu remains optimistic and grateful to those working behind the scenes. “Thank you all for the concern,” he shared.

“We now know him, his workplace, his name and nickname, where he lives.”
