Wednesday, July 22, 2026 - An Uber driver has raised concern after recording a video of three men and a woman dressed in religious attire performing unusual rituals at a grave in Lang’ata Cemetery.
According to his account, he had ferried mourners to the cemetery for a burial.
While waiting in his car, he noticed the group performing the rituals and discreetly recorded the incident using his phone.
In the video shared on social media, the group, led by a man
dressed in black religious attire while the others wore white, is seen
surrounding the grave and performing rituals that included burning flowers laid
on the grave with paraffin and pouring an unidentified liquid onto the grave
while chanting religious slogans.
At one point, the woman in the group appeared to suspect
they were being recorded and pointed toward the Uber driver.
The unusual scene attracted the attention of other mourners
who had gathered at the cemetery.
What made the incident even more shocking, according to the
Uber driver, is that the rituals were being performed on the grave of a person
who had been buried just two days earlier.
