Gachagua’s allies wear DCP green-coloured coats to Senate to celebrate Ol Kalou win as METHU reveals he lost 12 Kgs after vigorous campaigns (PHOTOs)

Tuesday, July 21, 2026 - Allies of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua caused a stir after arriving at the Senate wearing green coats associated with the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) as they continued celebrating the party's victory in the recent Ol Kalou by-election.

Photos shared on social media show the leaders, led by Nyandarua Senator John Methu, dressed in matching green coats in a show of solidarity following the by-election win.

Methu also revealed that the intense campaign period took a toll on his health, disclosing that he lost 12 kilograms while traversing the constituency.

“Every crown comes at a price. Wachana na one meal a day na kushinda gym, simama kiti,” he wrote on social media.
