Comedian AKUKU DANGER reveals the unique way his famous grandfather handled cheating wives - He had over 200 wives!

Monday, May 11, 2026 - Kenyan comedian, Mannerson Oduor Ochieng, popularly known as Akuku Danger, has offered a rare glimpse into the extraordinary life of his grandfather, the late Akuku Danger, who famously married 266 wives.

In conversation with podcaster Chris the Bass, Akuku shared fascinating details about how discipline and order were maintained in such a vast polygamous household.

According to the funny-man, his grandfather had a unique way of handling cases of infidelity.

Whenever a wife was caught cheating, he would not deal with it privately.

Instead, he organized a public gathering at the marketplace, summoned elders, and made an official declaration:

“From today so-and-so is no longer my wife.”

This public disowning ensured clarity, avoided disputes and reinforced accountability among the wives.

Despite the sheer size of the family, Akuku explained that the wives lived together peacefully.

However, not all 266 wives remained until the end.

Some left after his death in 2010, while others passed away earlier but he revealed the system kept the household functioning.

Akuku reflected on how growing up in such a family shaped his views on marriage, stating that while his father chose monogamy, his grandfather embraced polygamy, and both worked in their own ways.

“I saw polygamy work, and I saw monogamy work,” he said, adding proudly that the famous polygamist was his maternal grandfather.
