2026 - Media personality, Dr. Ofweneke, has stirred heated debate online
with a bold claim about prayer and sacrifice.
In the viral post, Ofweneke, who is also a well-known
corporate MC, suggested that unanswered prayers are linked to a lack of
personal sacrifice.
“You are struggling with your prayers because there is nothing you
have sacrificed to God to activate your request,” he wrote.
His statement has divided opinion and sparked mixed
reactions.
Many netizens accused him of promoting a “transactional”
view of faith, arguing that prayer should not be tied to what one gives up.
“Brother, all love, but let us not make our relationship with God
seem transactional,” one netizen wrote.
While some agreed that sacrifice can be part of spiritual
discipline, the majority pushed back, insisting that faith is about trust, not
bargaining.
The viral exchange has reignited conversations around prayer and how Kenyans interpret spirituality in the digital age.
