Wednesday, March 18, 2026 - Residents and motorists in Meru County caused a scene after a trailer carrying government fertilizer overturned at Gachibi along Mati Road.
The truck, reportedly en route to the National Cereals and
Produce Board (NCPB), lost control and veered off the road, spilling its cargo.
The incident quickly drew a crowd, including boda boda
riders, who scrambled to collect the scattered fertilizer.
Authorities later rushed to the scene to manage the crowd
and clear the road.
