Saturday, March 28, 2026 - The controversial Kikuyu man, Brian Morris Njagi, and his wife, Betty Kioko, were arraigned before the Kenol Law Courts over accusations of luring women from Thika to their home, allegedly drugging them, engaging in intimate acts while secretly filming, and later sharing the footage online without consent.
Prosecutors revealed that between March 17th and
18th, 2026, Njagi allegedly published and distributed intimate
images and videos through a Telegram account linked to him.
The charges fall under Section 37 of the Computer Misuse and
Cybercrimes Act, 2018, which criminalizes publishing intimate content without
consent.
According to the prosecution, three women were lured to
Njagi’s Kabati residence, where Betty was present.
The victims were reportedly served food and alcohol before
being filmed while vulnerable and intoxicated.
The footage quickly spread across social media platforms,
sparking outrage after relatives of some victims stumbled upon the videos and
alerted authorities.
Njagi and Betty were arrested on Wednesday and detained at
Kenol Police Station following complaints lodged by the Kiambu S3x Workers
Association, led by director Jane Mburu.
The association demanded justice and thorough investigations
into the disturbing allegations.
When the matter came up for hearing, Senior Resident
Magistrate Delroy Mwasaru denied the couple bail, citing a similar ongoing case
against Njagi and the risk of witness interference.
The court ordered that the two remain in custody as
investigations continue.
The case will be mentioned again on April 9th,
2026.
