Wednesday, February 18, 2026 - Security agencies are tightening the noose around the suspected leader of the notorious “Kazow Gang,” a criminal outfit said to be wreaking havoc in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area.
The gang leader shared a video on Tiktok showing him
flaunting wads of US dollars, which were obtained through extorting local
traders.
Business owners in Eastleigh have for months raised concerns
over the dreaded gang that demands “protection fees” and threatens those who
fail to comply.
Several traders claim that they have been forced to part
with large sums of money to continue operating peacefully.
The suspected gang leader is well connected to influential politicians and is believed to be using those ties to evade arrest and intimidate victims into silence.
