Friday, February 20, 2026 - Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika and her husband, businessman Sam Mburu, have sparked widespread online discussion after unveiling newly built luxury apartments in Nairobi’s upscale Loresho Estate.
In a video circulating on social media, several pastors are
seen offering prayers and blessings during the official opening of the
development, named Loresho Oasis.
The couple appeared alongside family members and associates
as they marked the milestone.
The unveiling has drawn reactions from Kenyans online, with
some questioning the source of funds used to finance the high-end project.
Governor Kihika has previously faced criticism and scrutiny
from political opponents over alleged corruption and governance concerns in
Nakuru County, allegations that she has publicly denied in the past.
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has also previously
made claims linking Sam Mburu to powerful business networks associated with
President Ruto.
Gachagua has accused him of involvement in controversial
dealings, including the importation of duty-free goods.
