Panic as uber driver is hijacked, tracker disconnected and dumped in Ngong Forest - Both driver and vehicle missing (PHOTOs)



Tuesday, January 13, 2026 - Police have launched investigations into the mysterious disappearance of an Uber driver who is believed to have been hijacked under unclear circumstances.

According to reports, the vehicle’s tracking device was disconnected and later recovered in Ngong Forest near Lenana School, raising fears that the driver may have been abducted.

Both the driver and the car remain missing, and their whereabouts are still unknown.

The incident comes amid rising cases of ride-hailing drivers being targeted by criminal gangs, heightening concerns over the safety of cab operators in the city and its environs.

Police have urged anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to report to the nearest police station.
