Thursday, September 18, 2025 - Fear has gripped residents of Mombasa after a chilling CCTV video emerged showing machete-wielding thugs ambushing and attacking a man in the Leisure area.
The footage shows the gang arriving on a motorbike under the
cover of darkness.
They lingered briefly before targeting two unsuspecting men
walking along the road.
In a split second, the thugs pounced.
One of the victims managed to run for his life, narrowly
escaping the ambush.
Unfortunately, his companion was cornered, struck with a
machete, and robbed of his possessions.
The brazen attack, carried out in the full view of security
cameras, has triggered outrage among locals, who say insecurity in the area has
worsened in recent months.
Residents are now demanding round-the-clock police patrols
and tougher action against the gangs terrorizing the city.
