KIKUYU LADY steals Ksh 500,000 at an Mpesa shop where she was employed and flees with her husband - The owner seeks help in tracing her (PHOTOs)


Thursday, September 17, 2026 - A lady identified as Lilian Wanjiku is alleged to have stolen KSh500,000 from an M-Pesa business where she worked as an attendant in Mukui, Nyathuna Ward, Kiambu County.

Wanjiku fled together with her husband, identified as Mohammed Ngao, shortly after the incident.

The incident happened on August 25, 2026, and their current whereabouts remain unknown.

A report has since been filed with the police, with the two reportedly being sought in connection with the theft.

The owner of the M-Pesa business is now appealing to members of the public to help trace the two.

If you come across them or have any information that could assist in establishing their whereabouts, please alert the police and raise the alarm so that appropriate action can be taken.
