Tuesday, November 4, 2025 - Police in Siaya County have arrested a 20-year-old KCSE candidate linked to a wave of break-ins and thefts that have rocked the Nyabondo, Ndare Ramula, and Dirubi areas in recent weeks.

The suspect, Austin Omondi Agimba, a Form Four student at Ramula Odowa Secondary School, was arrested following a detailed police investigation.

According to authorities, Agimba confessed to the crimes and went on to name his accomplices, Okoth Balozi, Japheth Ndege Onyango and George Audi, who had earlier been arrested for stealing 13 hens from the home of Principal Mrs. Amadi Ogoro.

A police operation led to the recovery of several stolen items, including school tablets, laptops, and a homemade pistol, which were found in the homes of Apollo Okoyo and Japheth Onyango.

Investigators believe the items were stolen from Kabete Primary School, Kabete AIC Church, and several local shops around Nyabondo.

Police have commended community members and local chiefs for their cooperation in the successful operation.

The suspects and the recovered items have been booked at Ogoro Police Station as investigations continue.
