Acting on credible intelligence, officers executed a well-coordinated raid at Suswa Shopping Centre in Narok County, where they intercepted a Nissan X-Trail, registration number KDP 353U.

The vehicle was found packed to the brim with the illicit cargo.

The driver, identified as James Nyaikondo, and his accomplice, Jackson Nyaikondo, were swiftly arrested at the scene.

A preliminary inspection revealed nine sacks of cannabis sativa concealed inside the vehicle.

The two suspects are currently in police custody as authorities process their case ahead of arraignment.

Meanwhile, both the seized vehicle and the recovered narcotics are being held as exhibits in the ongoing investigation.

Police have lauded the successful operation, noting it as part of ongoing efforts to crack down on transnational drug trafficking networks in the country.
