Wednesday, July 16, 2025 - Residents of Buru Buru estate served a dose of street justice to a thief who was caught red-handed stealing.
Instead of handing him over to the police immediately, angry
locals decided to humiliate the suspect publicly.
They beat him up and forced him to dance on the roadside
while chanting repeatedly: “Mimi ni mwizi kama Kasongo”, which loosely
translates to “I am a thief like Kasongo.”
Kasongo is a common name among Kenyans, mostly used to
describe President William Ruto.
