2025 - A stunning superyacht has made waves, literally and
online, after anchoring off Kilifi County’s shores.
The vessel, named SALT (formerly VOICE),
drew crowds of curious onlookers and sparked a flurry of speculation across
social media.
Built by Italian shipyard CRN and designed by the renowned
Nuvolari Lenard studio, SALT is a floating masterpiece of modern luxury.
Spanning five decks, it hosts 12 guests in six staterooms,
attended by a crew of 17.
Its features include alfresco lounges, a Jacuzzi, a beach
club, a fold-out swim platform, and a sun deck with a pool - all wrapped in
floor-to-ceiling glass.
Inside, SALT is the epitome of custom craftsmanship.
From its Rolls-Royce-inspired exterior lines to its
acoustically engineered silence, every detail reflects the owner's vision. CRN
engineers went to extraordinary lengths to eliminate noise, using floating
walls and dampers to ensure a tranquil onboard experience.
But SALT isn’t just quiet - it’s smart.
As soon as guests step aboard, the yacht auto-adjusts to
their preferred lighting, temperature, and music settings.
Powered by twin MTU diesel engines, SALT cruises at 15 knots
and tops out at 16. With a beam of 11.5 metres and a gross tonnage of 1,288 GT,
it ranks in the top five percent of superyachts globally for its size and
volume.
Listed for sale in late 2024 at €65 million (roughly Sh9.7
billion), SALT is registered under the British Virgin Islands flag, joining an
elite fleet of 240 yachts.
SALT’s appearance off Kenya’s coast is a rare glimpse into the world of bespoke seafaring indulgence.
