2025 - Imagine losing your baby at just one day old, being told he had
died, only to discover 43 years later that he is alive.
That is the reality that has left the family of Kapjulius Chepsengeny in
shock, relief, and overwhelming joy.
Kapjulius was abducted as a newborn at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet
County.
His parents were informed that their son had died shortly
after birth.
For more than four decades, the family carried the grief of
losing him, never imagining they would one day see him again.
That moment came on Sunday,
when Kapjulius was finally reunited with his twin sister, Chebet Mary.
The resemblance between the two was striking, facial
features, mannerisms, and even the way they spoke.
The family, unable to believe such a miracle without proof,
requested a DNA test.
The results confirmed their hopes: Kapjulius was indeed the
missing son they had mourned for 43 years.
The emotional homecoming drew relatives, neighbors, and community leaders, all eager to witness the extraordinary reunion.
Tears flowed freely as the siblings embraced, their undeniable bond despite the decades of separation.
For the Chepsengeny family, the day marked not only a reunion but also the closure of a painful chapter and the beginning of a new one, reclaiming the years they thought were lost forever.
