Wednesday, July 23, 2025 - Kenyans have been left questioning Government priorities after photos emerged showing the shocking state of the Bar Patrol Police Base in Kisumu County.
The facility, which serves a wide area in terms of security
operations, appears run-down, with rusted roofing, cracked walls, broken
windows, and generally unhygienic conditions.
The base has only two police officers serving the entire
station.
The photos have sparked public anger, especially as
President William Ruto continues to channel large sums of money to religious
groups and churches during his frequent weekend tours.
“This is where our officers operate from, yet billions are
spent on political goodwill in churches,” a concerned citizen posted online.
Others echoed the sentiment, saying security and public
service infrastructure should take precedence over political optics.
