Friday December 6, 2019 - Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko, has been arrested over the misappropriation of Sh 357 million meant for services in Nairobi County.

The Governor was arrested in Voi on his way to Mombasa where he was planning to hide after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Noordin Haji, ordered his arrest on Friday.

But according to sources, Sonko’s corruption case is not going nowhere.

This is because he has bribed a top High Court Judge with Sh 10 million to stop any graft cases facing him.

A source said Sonko, together with EALA MP, Simon Mbugua, bribed Justice John Oyiengo with Sh 10 million to cover his ass once he is arrested.

The two were even heard bragging how they would never be charged in any court in Kenya because of their money and connections.

According to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Sonko will be arraigned in court on Monday to answer to charges of corruption and embezzlement of public money.
