Friday December 6, 2019 - Legislators allied to Deputy President William Ruto have resolved to support the Building Bridges Initiative Report as it is.

The legislators made the bold declaration on Friday after a night meeting in Naivasha.

In the statement read by Kajiado South MP, Katoo ole Metito, the leaders announced that they had reviewed the document before they made the conclusion.

"After due consultation, we, therefore, resolved as follows;  we fully support the BBI report because it captures the concerns of our people especially on the matter of agriculture and livestock, inclusivity and unity in diversity, security, socio-economic development opportunities for the youth," Ole Metito stated.

They noted that they were ready and willing to fully participate in the implementation of the report by through whatever means President Uhuru Kenyatta directed them to.

"We are willing and ready to fully participate in the implementation of the report by any means including forming an implementation committee which is a recommendation of the BBI report," Ole Metito added.

In addition, the Naivasha meeting approved that leaders support any constitutional amendment whether through Parliament or a referendum as Kenyans had shared with the BBI committee.
