Tuesday October 1, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto has no capacity to teach Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga a lesson in politics, an aide has said.
Speaking yesterday, Raila's aide, Silas Jakakimba, said Ruto cannot be able to compete with Raila, arguing that retired President Daniel Moi tried hard but failed.
“Moi tried the same even on a larger, tougher front - he later changed tact and embraced 'inconveniences'. DP Ruto must be told if he doesn't know already, that he can never graduate from Raila Odinga University - least, teach @RailaOdinga the person, any lesson," he said.
“Moi, had to 'involuntarily' embrace 'inconveniences'. DP Ruto must get this loud and clear," he added.
In 2001, Moi, after years of battles with Mr Odinga, agreed to work together. However, the relationship was short-lived since Odinga bowed out and formed NARC coalition which went on to form government.
Over the weekend, Ruto said that he's ready to deal with Raila Odinga in Kibra by-election, a constituency that Mr Odinga led for two decades until 2013.
“I was shocked when an individual laid claim that Kibra is their political bedroom and the region did not even have toilets and locals are grappling with dire sanitation challenges. It is the Jubilee government that built roads and public toilets in Kibra,” he said.
