You are on your own going against RAILA in the Kibra by-elections-UHURU indirectly tells RUTO as he snubs him and MARIGA! This is too much

Tuesday September 10, 2019-President Uhuru Kenyatta, on Monday, September 9, reportedly snubbed a party organised by his Deputy, William Ruto, to christen McDonald Mariga as Jubilee's candidate in the Kibra polls.

Reports indicate that Uhuru preferred not to field a Jubilee candidate in the upcoming polls to preserve the handshake but Ruto insisted.

According to reports, the DP allegedly resorted to the move in a bid to scuttle the handshake between the President and ODM leader, Raila Odinga.

In order to endorse Mariga, Ruto is said to have reached out to Uhuru to preside over the issuance of the party certificate to Mariga at Jubilee headquarters in vain.

After the interaction, the DP is alleged to have skipped the event entirely leading to its postponement.

Jubilee Party Secretary Raphael Tuju, confirmed that indeed the meeting had been planned but was postponed at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances.

"I have no communication from the President whether he will present the certificate or campaign for our candidate but we have been in touch with the deputy," stated Tuju.

Kieleweke allied MPs from the Jubilee Party, however, accused Ruto of attempting to undermine the president and the former prime minister by fielding a candidate.

"The Deputy President is not happy with the peaceful environment that the handshake has brought to this country.

"He does not care about Nairobi people and how they have fought one another for a long time because he does not have his people in Nairobi. Our DP doesn't care," claimed Nominated MP Maina Kamanda.
