Friday September 9, 2019 - Leader of Majority in Parliament, Aden Duale, has remained silent over Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential quest ahead of 2022.

Duale, who was once an avid campaigner of Ruto’s bid in 2022, has now gone silent and is now condemning MPs campaigning for Ruto.

Early this week, Mr Duale seemed to be reading from a different script from Kikuyu MP, Kimani Ichungwa, a close ally of Ruto.

In a heated session, Duale accused Ichungwa of sneaking in the Tanga Tanga agenda on the floor of the house.

Tanga Tanga is a team of leaders allied to Dr Ruto.

“What we have on the floor of the house is Public Finance Management 2019 Bill.”

“But what we are hearing is Tanga Tanga.”

“I have no problem with Tanga Tanga outside this house.”

“I might be part of the team,” Duale said.

Impeccable sources opine that Duale was approached by State operatives who urged him to either denounce Ruto’s bid in 2022 or go to jail over a Sh 2 billion tax evasion scandal.

Duale, who has many companies registered under his proxies, was told if he fails to abandon Ruto’s bandwagon, he will be charged with tax evasion and he will also lose his seat as Majority Leader in Parliament.
