Two police officers arrested as DCI detectives recover Sh7 million out of the Sh72 million G4S heist (PHOTOs)

Saturday, September 7, 2019Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have recovered Sh 7 million of the Sh 72 million stolen on Thursday when thugs posing as police officers robbed G4S personnel and Standard Chartered Bank in Nairobi West.

Two police officers have also been arrested as detectives from the Special Crime Prevention Unit go after the daring thugs.

According to DCI, Administration Police constable Chris Ayienda Machogu was arrested in possession of Sh 4million in Kisii.

While police constable Vincent Owour was arrested in Kendu Bay and Sh3million recovered from his house.

The detectives also recovered a brand new Subaru car the suspects had just bought and were planning to use to flee to Uganda.

The two suspects are helping detectives with investigations and soon all the culprits will be arrested.
