Thursday, September 26, 2019 - Controversial businessman, Stephen Mark Oduk alias Lucas Mbadi, is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The flamboyant owner of Plan 254 Club in Kilimani, was arrested on Thursday by DCI detectives during a raid at the popular club where fake 1 million US dollars and fake 147 bars of gold were confiscated.
Besides his lavish lifestyle which he likes to flaunt on social media, Oduk’s name has been a common feature in courts over various crimes from gold scams, fake money and kidnappings.
In 2013, he was arrested alongside four other suspects and arraigned over the kidnapping of two children of Asian origin in Nairobi and demanding Ksh86 million ransom.
In September 2016, he left tongues wagging after spending a cool Sh2.5 million during his girlfriend’s birthday.
In 2017, Oduk was the talk of the town after he spent Ksh2 million for a lavish baby shower for his sexy girlfriend.
The opulent party was held at an undisclosed location and it had more than 200 guests in attendance including Babu Owino, renowned fraudsters, Paul Kobia and Ben Kang’ang’i.
In May this year, Oduk was among seven suspects arrested after police nabbed fake dollars worth millions in an apartment in Kilimani.
