Sunday, September 8, 2019- The bitter rivalry between Jubilee’s Tangatanga and Kieleweke factions reared its ugly head on Sunday when Kiharu MP, Ndindi Nyoro and Maina Kamanda nearly exchanged blows in a church in Muranga.

Members of team Kieleweke led by Maina Kamanda were presiding over a fundraiser in Gatui Catholic church when Nyoro stormed the event.

Kamanda was among a team of Kieleweke MPs who were attending a fundraiser at the church when Nyoro stormed the event with goons.

Nyoro caused commotion as he insisted that being the area MP he is the only one with the prerogative to invite leaders to events in his constituency.

“I am the MP and I am the only one who can invite people to functions in this constituency. I respect Maina Kamanda as a father and an elder, but I cannot allow him to come all the way from Nairobi to rule Kiharu Constituency,” Nyoro.said.

A scuffle ensued paralyzing the church service as the two leaders nearly exchanged blows.

Nyoro, a member of the Tanga Tanga group, said he could not allow the fundraiser to continue because he was not invited in the Jubilee function being held in his constituency.

Over 20 members of Parliament allied to the Kieleweke group were present.

Among those who were present during the fracas are Kiambu Woman Representative Gathoni wa Muchomba and Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu.
