Friday September 13, 2019 - Nakuru Senator, Susan Kihika, has once again attacked the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) saying it has nothing new to offer Kenyans
Speaking at a public function in Nakuru on Friday, the outspoken Senator complained that BBI was wasting a lot of money yet Kenyans did not understand what it was about.
"We would want to tell Senators Yusuf Haji and Amos Wako to stop using billions of money to stay in five-star hotels and invite a few people to discuss BBI matters," Kihika stated.
“BBI does not represent Kenyans’ views but those of a few individuals.”
“There was no public participation and Kenyans were not given the opportunity to give their recommendations," Kihika added.
Kihika also noted that in previous years, free and fair elections had not been witnessed.
"We all know that we have one problem with the constitution.”
“It is known that every time after elections, the opponents claim that elections were not conducted in a free and fair manner," she remarked.
Susan is daughter to late veteran politician, Kimani Kihika, who opposed Late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta’s regime in 70s and 80s.
